this week top 5 albums
we are just about at the end of the second week of September and here is my top five albums for this week that I have been listening to.
Orbit culture (vultures of north single) 2022
Jackson stokes (self tilted album) 2019
Ozzy Osbourne (patient NO 9) 2022
Fit for an autopsy ( Oh what the future holds) 2022
Marcus King ( Young Blood) 2022
ORBIT CULTURE VULTURES OF THE NORTH
The most recent single from Swedish melodic death metal band Orbit culture from Eksjö, opens with a an amazing heavy guitar riff that drives into a massive fast paced hard hitting drum beat that controls the song . the amazing vocal performance of Niklas Karlsson makes you feel like your immersed into a world of horror with primal screams and low guttural growling . this song if you close your eyes will send you to the darkest places your mind can find. highly recommend 9/10
JACKSON STOKES DEBUT ALBUM
Jackson Stokes is a ST. Louis native from a young age living across the street from Devon Allman their musical friendship grew. most recently Jackson has been playing lead guitar for Devon's band The Devon Allman project. With the creation of Devon's new record label in 2018 Creation Records
he signed Jackson to make his debut album. this album encompass that groovy blues feel with songs like cant get you out of my head and whiskey. for me they are the perfect songs to sit back on the dock in the summer with your favorite drink in your hand. this album for me ranks 8/10 only because i cant wait to see where this young artist music goes from here.
OZZY OSBOURNE PATINET NO 9
Ozzy once again shows the world of metal that age and illness will never stop this power house of an artist. with multiple guest appearing on the album Jeff beck, mike McCready , Eric Clapton, Zack Wylde and Tony iommi. to me this album is just great listen from start to finsh with funky hard hitting drum groves to ripping guitar solos and Ozzy epic vocal performance. 8/10
FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY OHB WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
Once again fit for autopsy provide us with an amazing album that I have had on repeat all week. what I personally love about this album is it still has the large heavy breakdowns we all love but it also incorporates the slow melodic driving vocal which drives the song for me. the guitar solos are epic when played over top of these melodic vocals and off beast drum rhythms. stand out track is two towers for me it just make me feel like we are getting ready for a mythical battle. 10/10
MARCUS KING YOUNG BLOOD
This album differs from the previous albums in my opinion it feels more commercial and radio friendly which is not saying these song on the album aren't great listening they just don't have they same jam feel that songs like plant your corn early had. this album is still really good and has the amazing guitar work you would expect from a king album overall it is great to see Marcus expanding is audience and bring more of the masses to his fan group. 7/10
